What is the Adiyogi Bust by Ikon?

The Adiyogi Bust by Ikon is a hand-finished sculpted bust of Adiyogi, the first yogi, produced by the Saikou studio in two sizes. Each piece is sculpted in fine-art studio resin with a hand-finished matte surface in the studio's signature palette, individually numbered, and shipped with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. The 3-inch size is built for the car dashboard and small shelves; the 5-inch is built for desks, console tables, and study corners.

Who is Adiyogi?

Adiyogi means "the first yogi": the figure in Hindu tradition credited with revealing yoga to the world. In the tradition, Adiyogi is identified with Shiva in his role as the original teacher, the silent transmitter who first passed the science of yoga to the Saptarishis, the seven sages who then carried it across the world.

The form most people picture today comes from the 112-foot Adiyogi bust at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, designed by Sadhguru and dedicated in 2017. Recognised by Guinness as the world's largest bust, it set the visual language for the contemporary Adiyogi: long matted hair, a quiet third eye, the inward gaze of a yogi at rest. The Adiyogi Bust by Ikon brings that form to a scale you can keep with you.

Why does the 3-inch Adiyogi Bust suit a car dashboard?

The 3-inch Adiyogi Bust is sized, weighted, and finished for life on a car dashboard: small enough to sit clean in the line of sight, heavy enough to hold its place over Indian roads, and finished in studio resin that does not warp under summer cabin heat.

A Shiva piece on the dashboard is one of the most common placements in India. Most options in the category are mass-produced plastic, brittle in finish, loud in paint, and short-lived once the cabin starts to heat. The 3-inch Adiyogi Bust is the considered alternative: hand-finished by the Saikou studio, matte in the studio's signature palette, sculpted with the detail of a real piece rather than the look of a token.

The base measures 2.2 inches and sits stable on a standard dashboard pad. The form reads from the driver's seat without crowding the view, and the proportions hold up when the bust is the only object on the dash. Numbered edition, signed certificate, packed in archival foam for transit. Built to sit with you on the morning commute, year after year.

Where does the 5-inch Adiyogi Bust live at home?

The 5-inch Adiyogi Bust is the centerpiece size, sized to anchor a desk, console, study, or office surface and to read clearly from across the room.

At 5 inches tall and 3.7 inches at the base, it carries the substance of a real sculpted piece without crowding the surface it sits on. The matte studio finish reads as art rather than as ornament: it holds its own next to a lamp, a stack of books, or a framed print, and it does not fight the ambient light in the room.

Most pieces at this scale fall into two categories: ornate, gold-trim production, or budget-tier decor that reads cheap up close. The 5-inch Adiyogi Bust is the third option: editorial in form, considered in finish, sculpted with the kind of detail that earns a second look from a guest crossing the room. Numbered edition, signed certificate, packed for transit.

How is an Ikon piece made?

Every Ikon piece is made in the Saikou studio through a five-stage pipeline, with one lead artisan responsible for each stage from sculpt through to inspection.

Every Ikon piece carries the work of all five stages, and every piece carries a numbered certificate that records it.

  1. Art director

    Varshil

Sets the brief, defines the form references, locks the proportions and the finish direction, and signs off on the final mock before production begins.

  2. Master Sculptor

    Gaurav

Sculpts the form, working in both clay and digital sculpting tools to refine proportions and detail. Holds the final sculpt against the brief until it reads right from every angle.

  3. Finishing artisan

    Atman

Runs prototype refinements, hand-finishes the surface, and locks the matte texture that defines the piece's read at viewing distance.

  4. Paint Master

    Adwick

Hand-paints each piece in the studio's signature palette, layering the matte finish to give the form depth without flattening its detail.

  5. Inspection lead

    Darshna

Inspects each piece against the studio standard, numbers and signs the certificate, and clears the piece for packaging.
